Let us hope it's very temporary. Proboards can bite me. Well, they can try, but I bite harder. So there. Grrrrr.

I'm going to be in and out, but anyone who wants to hang out here is more than welcome. I miss my S'cubies!

In other news, my Paradise Fibers package is now in Anaheim, where it should be out for delivery shortly, having gone from Salt Lake City to Las Vegas overnight. I'm fascinated. I just hope the contents haven't suffered.

Let's see... Spokane to Hermiston to Salt Lake City, a nice little detour on a UPS delivery truck and back again, to Las Vegas to Anaheim to Brea. It's like the Grand Tours young English gentlemen used to take. Yes, I've been rereading Trollope; I got bored and the Barchester Chronicles are comfort food. Which is probably why I started rereading Sunshine last night. Comfort food with vampires.

*Lays out beverages and snacks, fluffs pillows, checks on the goats, giraffes, peacocks with pretty tails (both male and female) and tiger*

Go for it.

*Edited because I only just noticed a typo* *Hits head on wall*

Meep!

Okay. Deep breaths.

That was scary, but I'm okay, Amazon is okay, the groceries are okay, and nobody got blowed up or nothin'.

I was sitting at the signal on Elm, facing west, waiting for the green light. Light turns green, I hit the gas (there's a bit of a hump in the middle of Brea, so you can't just roll) and start out into the intersection - just as a pickup truck going way too fast runs the red light north on Brea. I hit the brakes, fast. They work like a charm, and fortunately the car behind me hit theirs as well.

I got home. I didn't run into anything. Nothing ran into me. I brought in the groceries and put them away.

I'm still shaking. Why is there never a traffic cop around when you need one?

I just hope the asshat driving that pickup runs afoul of one of the Brea PD traffic stakeouts (like the one by Laurel School) before somebody does get hurt.

My Paradise Fibers package arrived, none the worse for its tour of the North-and-Southwest. Now what I really need is new shelves in my studio, so I can gloat over, um, display my collection of Lantern Moon baskets and workbags when I'm not using them.

Also arrived, my photo supply store package, so I have four new black-edged 5x7 float frames (take that, Michaels, Aaron Brothers and the rest of the local businesses I tried first) and a spare package of paper for the photo printer.

Proboards is not being nice to me, again. Either I get the "too many connections" message, or it won't connect at all. Pfui upon Proboards, a plague on all their... something beginning with P.

And now the page has sort of half-loaded - just the banner at the top. No, I refreshed and it's back again. Now to see if I can finish reading those five pages.

Well, if I can't get back to the Thrall Room again today, I hope you are all having a pleasant day and that things are going well for you and yours.
