Here we are again.

For those interested in such things, I used stem stitch, lazy-daisy (aka detached chain) stitch, running stitch, whipped running stitch, French (or should I say "Freedom"?) knots, satin stitch and of course whipstitch around the edges.

I tried a spiral on one finger, as a "fingerprint", but it just didn't look right. I may give it another try later, perhaps with just one strand of floss, or maybe I'll just leave things as-is. Sometimes my visions don't translate well to reality.

Next is beadwork, but since I'm not sure exactly what I want to do, I'm going to let it sit over the weekend. I do know that I need a picture of Frida Kahlo on it someplace, maybe as part of the charm bracelet I want to put on my wrist. So this morning I dug through my stuff and found a small square frame charm and a Frida image leftover from my Dia de Los Muertos charm bracelet kit, and put those together.

Besides, I do have something to work on. Susan says we should make another quilt sammich to use as a beadwork sampler. I can do that. I've got more of the not-batik Indonesian cotton I used for the cloud; it's basic white with cream and very pale blue and yellow accents, almost invisible, so it'll be a good neutral base.
