Okay, here we go. Lots of not-very-great photos, from all angles .

Here's the actual class project:

Inside view, to show the coiled structure and all the pretty fabrics.

The small one, made with ¼" cotton upholstery cording:

The two baskets together:

The large basket is oval with sides tapering out, 10" across from handle to handle and about 3" tall, not counting the handles. It has, among other things, a winged heart milagro, a vintage brass stamping of a woman's face with stars, a brown bat and a white tiger, and small tassels I got from unravelling some upholstery trim. I also wrapped ½" organdy ribbon variegated in teal and purple around the top coil; it's hard to see in the photos, but it sparkles nicely.

The small one is a cylinder, 2" high and 3" in diameter. I used the same organdy ribbon to make a ruffle around the top. I actually finished the little nest first; for some reason, the embellishment came together much faster in my head.

Materials: Assorted cottons and other fabrics (no batiks this time), cotton upholstery cording, various beads, charms, buttons, ribbon and trim.

Gorgeous colour! I like the bigger basket in particular.

Beautiful. You have the most amazing eye for color and embellishment.
