Next, I rummage through the bead drawers and pull out all the likely-looking beads. There’s turquoise, coral, shell, bone, onyx and obsidian, little glass trade beads, and fetish bears and birds. I also got out one of my earlier gourd pendants so I can see how I spaced the beads on the necklace cords. Next, I try to cut down my selections and start stringing beads onto the hanging threads. That’s the really fun bit.
