The last of the 2024 Summer Sewing Madness, and while I was at it, a couple of things I embellished many years ago.

The hapi: the Folkwear Hapi and Haori pattern again. I made the sleeves a few inches longer and added pockets. The fabrics are all cotton batiks except the purple and orange one, which is a matching print, all from my hoard. I collected all of them over a couple of years. I had meant to make a tiered skirt, which never happened. I made Turkish bloomers from the purple and orange, years ago, which I still wear on special occasions and holidays. But not, I think, with this jacket.

This is a thriftshop denim jacket I worked Dorset feather stitch designs on. I also made the brooch.

A closeup of the aforementioned brooch.

A Deva Lifewear hapi-style cotton jacket which I cross-stitched with designs from a book of Chinese embroidery.

What a productive summer of sewing! These pieces will look great over plain t-shirts and your jewelry collection.
