I think she's finished. She looks finished to me, and she doesn't seem to want any more ornamentation.

From Chaska (previously Mai-Liis) Peacock's Icon Doll Class:

Materials: Styrofoam cone, wood base and embellishments, Mexican tin frame, polyclay face, mulberry paper (underlayer on cone),handmade Thai paper (torn in strips and wrapped around the cone and collaged to base and frame), copper hand charms, Lumiere paints, silk velvet ribbon, fancy tulle, assorted trims, vintage Dresden (German paper) gold trim, Mexican terracotta bowl and Mexican migajon (bread dough) produce, velvet leaves, raffia, metal and Czech glass beads and charms, vintage brass chain, Celtic pendant. I think that's everything.

The last part was the worst - I found some gorgeous medieval-looking gold trim, but it was too heavy for the velvet ribbon and refused to lie flat no matter what I did, so I used more of the Dresden on the ends of her robe/cloak instead. It works, I think.

She became a harvest icon, I dunno, because of the colors, maybe? The time of year?

I bought the face and frame from Chaska, who included a little packet of embellishments (most of which didn't actually get used on this one), and I had the Thai paper and the ribbon already in my stash, along with the produce, and one thing just sort of led to another. She just evolved that way. They do that - tell you what they want, and it's better not to argue.

Actually, she does need one more thing, before I forget - felt dots on the underside of the base, which is a mite warped (and of course that didn't manifest itself until she was nearly complete).

I like the punched tin frame especially, for some reason.
