Here's another thing I finished.
This one was inspired by Lyn Belisle's Spirit Boxes in the October 2013 Cloth Paper Scissors. She is a wandering wizard woman, her staff has a tumbled quartz crystal on top, and she carries a map and a journal, which I made, and a porcupine quill pen. The whole assemblage is about 7" tall, 8" if you count the staff.
Materials: Lyn Belisle face, matboard, glues, paint, a small tin, wire, stick from one of our trees, Thai marbled paper and other papers, assorted charms and beads and coins, 2-ply waxed linen thread, Balger 1/16" gold embroidery ribbon, trims, fancy yarns.
Front

Front, with hair pulled back to show off her adornments

Back with the tin/hanger
