Sunday Afternoon Massacre

anne_dShadow caught a bird. It's shrieking. Oh dear. Now she's behind the honeysuckle pillar, having chased it there. Just kill the poor thing already, you wretched cat mighty hunter.
She's a cat, and that's what cats do, and there are far too many house finches out there, but still, yech.
Now I have to make sure Shadow stays outside until the bird has been eaten and returned to sender. Better outside than inside on the rug. Double yech.
So yesterday was the all-day Topanga Packapalooza, and today was Visit-The-Aged Ps Day. I'm tired. Very, very tired.
At least my dad behaved himself, mostly, although I could really, really have done without him needling Emily because she didn't smile properly (by his standards) on the t-shirt photo. Of course Emily got weepy. It was inevitable. Way to go, Grandpa.
I'm going to find a hole, crawl into it, and hope for at least a five-minute nap before the next hornets' nest erupts.
