Things are looking up
Aug. 6th, 2007 10:29 amBut remember, the light at the end of the tunnel could be the light of an oncoming train...
Arachne is back from her $86 tuneup. She seems to be happy; I plugged her in and sewed a few inches, and she's purring. The second spool pin has been ordered, but she won't need to go back until it's in, so I can sew again. Yay?
Now I need to decide what to sew next. Probably Kitty's skull-and-rose print pillow. It's an easy project, and it'll give me time to make sure my baby is properly tuned up. Then I can tackle lined curtains with a rod at top and bottom, for the bedroom doors. That'll be a new one.
Since I was out anyway, I drove down to Fullerton Hardware. They had the 18-gauge galvanized steel wire, and a few other things I've been questing for. Now I have a second mermaid armature and the 18-gauge wire was much easier to work than the 1/8" armature wire. Pity that wasn't mentioned anywhere in the supply list, as I could've saved $4 and a lot of aggravation and hand pain. Pfui. Of course, I still have to wrap one or both of them. Maybe tomorrow.
Back to laundry.
