71°, 74% rh, at 8:30 in the morning, with a sort of soggy cloud blanket. Bleah.

So far today, I have walked to Ralphs, after deciding that I need the walk more than we need another backup jug of cat sand. I also determined that since we don't really need anything from TJ's until tomorrow, and there won't be room in the fridge for anything more until after lunch when the leftover Mexican takeout is eaten, I might as well try to squeeze my TJ's errands in either before or after I drive Emily to school tomorrow.

No precise word on the possible grocery strike, although the clerks at Ralphs are optimistic. The OCTA drivers are voting on a new contract today, and the OCTA Directors will ratify the contract tomorrow, if it passes the vote. *Please pass, please please PLEASE* If all goes well, there will be buses rolling by the end of the week, but not, probably, alas, on Tuesday when I have to drive to Kaiser for my fasting blood test and Kitty's checkup, then drive Emily to school.

I really need a clone, or a well-programmed mom-bot. Not an evil twin, those never work out, but someone who could be in one of the other sixteen places I need to be, all at the same time. That'd be a real help. Somebody should invent something like that for mothers. They'd make a fortune.

I'd better go prioritise my list of Usefuls For Today. With any luck, I can waste some time with that before I actually have to start working.

Anne, is it bedtime yet?
