Creative Embroidery, Second Project

Finished this one yesterday. One of these days, I should take the time to take proper photos, but right now it's quick and dirty or nothing.
This was the fieldstone-pillar-inspired one (previous post showing the original photo and evolution of the design). I decided to embroider around the stone shapes, in the negative space, as it were.
Dye-na-Flo and Lumiere acrylic paints on Timtex interfacing, appliquéd fabrics (copper and sheer lamé), embroidery floss, seed beads (gold-lined, clear silver-lined). Stitches: French knots (dark blue), seed stitch, satin stitch, cross-stitch, running stitch, whipstitch (around the edges). I backed it with a batik in coordinating colors. It's about 4½x6 inches.

This is a fun class. I have another idea involving dandelions and the rest of the painted Lutradur, but I'm still working that one out.
