Here's the finished embroidery; it's based on jacaranda pods, and it's about 6x6":

Stitches used: Running stitch (the outlines), chain stitch, fly stitch, fern stitch, seed stitch, cross-stitch, French knots, pattern darning, whipstitch.
The back is cotton print, brown with a pattern of small circles. The pattern actually shows through the Lutradur a little, but I think it works.
Steps in the process:
Previous entry showing the painted Lutradur, from which I cut a 6x6" square for this project.
Here's the photo of jacaranda pods:

Made black-and-white with more contrast:

The Lutradur with the traced tissue-paper design pinned on and ready to sew (I had to go back and add the inside detail to the outlines later; next time I'll try to remember to do it all at once):

Next, embroidery on that painted Timtex. I have some ideas, but I need to choose one and refine it a bit before I can really get going.
