Another Project Finished

Well, at least it's done.
Two days of intermittent work, and we have, ta dah, a flying pig.
While the end result is cute enough, I don't think I'll be doing any more paper models from this company. The instructions are incomplete and diagrams are sadly lacking, especially in some of the critical stages, and what there are aren't very clear. As a result, I put several pieces in backwards and didn't discover the problem until well after the glue had set. I was able to peel them apart with the help of an xacto knife and reglue them, but it's not as neat as it should be and I had to reinforce a tab that tore.
The piggy is cute, it flies, or rather, flaps, but ultimately, the project was more difficult and frustrating than it needed to be, and, in my humble opinion, not suitable for children at all.
It'll look cute on a high shelf in my studio, though, and that's not so bad. At least I wasn't so pissed off at the end that I couldn't bear to look at it, and believe me, that's happened a time or two.
