Life is not so bad after all
May. 17th, 2007 08:47 am As Matthew said, A good, happy, "Everybody lives!" series finale can do that for you.
The series finale of Crossing Jordan, which I had feared would end with a horrible cliffhanger and everyone in peril, turned into an actual series finale with closure, and not of the my favorite characters are all dead kind. Although I was really worrying about Macy for a while there, especially when he made that speech about deaths that matter.
Things were resolved, mysteries were answered, important discussions were had, there was Woody/Jordan kissage, and most important, this time, everybody lives.
I hate to see it go, but at least I can imagine everyone going on with their lives; Nigel and Kate sparring, Bug and Lily playing with Madeleine (and I loved how that everybody was happy for them, and it was a given that they are a family now), Jordan and Woody off on safari (that, I'd like to see), and Macy riding herd on the whole outrageous family.
The only problem was that after that, I was too wired to sleep. But still, I'm in a much better mood today. I went for a walk to the market and returned with a chai from the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, and Milano cookies, of which I only ate two. I'll leave the rest for the demi-hellgoddesses and consort.
I need to take Emily shopping for jeans and shoes today, but she's happy with Target, Walmart and Payless, so that shouldn't be too hard. She wants black jeans, but she's okay with normal ones. We will have to label them, though; she and Kitty wear the same size - girls' 16, which makes buying pants anywhere but the kids' department impossible. Willowy creatures, the two of them.
And it's Ladies Lunch at the Citadel outlet mall tomorrow. It's not a very good outlet mall, especially since the bookstore closed, but it's convenient to downtown, so Daria is taking a half-day off and meeting me there.
