More class stuff

Some collaged journal page thingies from the Transformative Doll class.
I wasn't too sure about sharing them, especially the first one, as it's awfully close to that line between venting and whining. But the teacher assured me it was cathartic. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. So.
Trapped by Expectations (mine and others'). This one has two layers, with hinges so it opens - the picture of a sculpture I got from an old art magazine, and the cage with bars made of discouraging phrases. The interesting thing is that the sculpture is a human form trapped in a block of ice, or at least that's what it looks like to me, so it's doubly trapped.
Oddly, the rest turned out more hopeful. I guess there was some venting going on:

A page of dreams and wishes:

Note the real clock hands on the flying clock. Hee.
One of the lessons also suggested a small box shrine. I couldn't decide what to put in it, so I started playing with the concept of ATC-sized cards with different ideas on them. One thing led to another, and I made smaller versions of the two journal pages plus a few more. I have yet to make the actual box, but that'll come eventually.

Let's see... Clockwise starting with the upper left (your left): Trapped, Dreams, an organized home (I don't know why, I just liked the image*), goddesses and my animal totems. Various magazine pictures, charms, stickers, some stuff resized and printed off the internets (Google image is my friend), and four rubberstamps and some teeny holo star confetti on the moon goddess card. The animal spirits card is on mulberry paper with inlaid stars over cardstock.
So there they are. Now I should finish the little healing dolls and embellish the box for the cards to live in, and make more cards. Just what I (don't) need. More projects. :eyeroll:
*And it occurs to me that the "Keep calm and carry on" is very close to my own crisis management strategy of "Cope now, freak later".
