Abstract Flying Angel

Here's the first creation from my Chaska Peacock Angel class.



Polymer clay face cab, cotton print fabric, lame fabric (layered over the cotton fabric for the wings), bead trim, assorted beads, assorted fibres, earring finding (halo), bamboo twig, quartz crystal, feathers (power wand).

Her name is Delight. She has a quartz crystal, some teeny bells,two tiny
peacock feathers and a white fluffy feather on her power wand, and a
Celtic knotwork heart for infinite amounts of love and caring.

Edited to replace photo with one I took with the macro lens off. Too much closeup apparently made the outer edges of the picture fuzzy. [Beats head against desk]

Also, I really want some proper studio lights so I can take photos indoors without the flash, please...

Thanks, all. I'm confused - I emailed the photo to Chaska, who says it looks "fuzzy" and don't I want to retake a sharper one. It doesn't look fuzzy to me, and it doesn't look fuzzy to Emily, and I'm all befuddled now.

Maybe I'll reduce the size and resend it; the original is much larger than the one I posted.

She's probably reading the white edge as fuzz- maybe retake on black paper?

Julia, the very end of the hair at the right side is out of the focal plane, but I wouldn't expect it to be otherwise.

I reshot, on white foamcore, with the macro turned off. Had to use the flash, but I think this one's better. Head, meet desk. Oh, for a proper studio lighting setup...
