A Quick Creative Thing

I completed a quick little project today. My Aged Mum collected half-dolls and other vintage figurals; I brought a small collection home with me. This vintage head vase used to sit on her dresser with hairsticks in it. I turned it into a pincushion.

First I cleaned the vase with some baby wipes. I cut a circle of cotton fabric, gathered the edges with quilting thread, and stuffed it with polyester fiberfill. Then I stuffed more fiberfill into the vase, jammed the pincushion in, and added some vintage pins. Eventually I want to bead some of the pins to make little stickpins.
