Today I slayed a buncha usefuls.
I worked on the mermaid vision quilt. It's progressing; it may even be done by the end of the week. I'm not as invested in it as I was the folk doll quilt, somehow, but it's coming along, and I can't ask for more than that, I guess. I'm kind of throwing things at it and not worrying too much about colors; what the hey, if I worry about things clashing, it'll never get done.
I played with my Silvercrow order. At the moment, it's at the 25%-off level, which is fun for me, but not so good for the budget. On the other hand, some of it is upcoming birthday presents and some of it is my reward for hard work. I deserve a treat, right?
I listened to KPCC, which was fine until Patt Morrison started interviewing Republicans at their convention. Then I started yelling at the stupid. I should've turned it off, but yet, my ears wouldn't turn away. Stupid ears.
This is Younger Spawn's second day of 11th grade. So far, so good. [crosses fingers] She has Elder Daughter's American History and Ceramics teachers. Poor kid, Elder Daughter set a pretty high standard to follow... I have wondered sometimes if that's part of Kitty's problem, but then again, she's always been more laid-back than her sister.
Almost time for Kitty to get home from school. Kitchen table cleared, check.
Oops, fluffycat wants in. Must obey the fluffycat...
And the crystal moon that disappeared when the cork strip fell off the goddess shelf - turned up over the weekend. In a bag of bookmark and tag-making supplies. I'm sure I went through all that stuff several times, but there it was, twinkling at me and going nya nya nya...
