Mermaids Ahoy

Or, how I spent my Tuesday. Not a great photo, but you get the general idea.

The mermaid shelf, in its completed (for now, anyway) state.



My mermaid wrapped art dolls, various mermaid and fish ojime, a boxwood mermaid-fish-and-lotus-leaf tea scoop filled with small shells, mermaid pendants, a raku mermaid vessel (bottle, not ship), a Mexican black clay mermaid whistle, a Mexican tin mermaid ornament, cards and postcards, shells and shell art. The shelf is lined top, back and bottom with sanwa paper, pale blue with gold and silver foil sparkles.

It was fun, anyway.
