Julia, this is all your fault - you said S'cubies should post more.
Driving up to the high school on an emergency Tylenol run for Emily, I spotted a crow clinging to the side of the "Road Ends in 500 yards" sign.

The film which will hopefully include baby crow pictures has been dropped off at the market. It'll be back Tuesday evening. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

A later update: Jacques, the largest of the crowlings, is now flying around the food court. I wonder if they'll all be out of the nest over the three-day weekend. It'd be the perfect time for flight training, with the school pretty much deserted.

I slogged through Laurell Hamilton's latest,A Stroke of Midnight, and romped through Donna Andrews' latest, Owl's Well That Ends Well, this week.

I wouldn't recommend the LH to my worst enemy - the sex is profuse, frequent, and boring. She shags one sidhe, she shags them all. Literally. Apparently, one of Merry Gentry's new powers (there's a new one every minute) is communicable orgasms, to everyone within 50 yards. Plot? What plot?

Donna Andrews is, as usual, a hoot (sorry). This is one of her Meg Langslow series, with the usual wacky and fun family members, and the mother of all yard sales. I didn't figure out whodunnit until the heroine did, and then, of course, I could see all the clues. So, it was fun.
