I can do this, I can do this... I think. I hope.

All right. Today I say "no" to boring housework, and do one of the craft things I've been putting off. Which is why the kitchen table is awash in polar fleece. Someday* it's going to be a nice fringed throw, with tigers. It's already got cat hair.

Finish my tea break, then back to work. I can do this.

*This week. No, really.

Two sides fringed, two to go. I'm also reminding myself to work for no more than twenty minutes at a time, and to take breaks. My back and my hands will no doubt thank me.

Elder daughter has left for her summer school class. Blessed peace, at least for a few hours.

Fringes are all cut. Now I can tie them while watching TV and fighting off the cats, who love anything polar fleecey.

I've made four fleece throws so far, not counting the one I gave the MiL, and all of them were immediately annexed by the cats. Patches also claimed my bathrobe a while ago - on chilly mornings after she's breakfasted, she escorts me to the bedroom and orders me to remove it and put it on the bed.

It's actually pretty cute - Shadow has to be tucked into my comfy chair every night, under her blankie.
