The Daily Crow: Today's Report
May. 24th, 2005 03:10 pmEmily says that the largest of the crow fledglings, Jacques Snicket, was outside the nest on a rafter, flapping his wings and saying "Rawk! Rawk!" The two smaller ones, Kit and Lemony, are visible but staying in the nest right now.
I also saw a raven on a lightpost outside the Ralphs on Yorba Linda Blvd. That's the second Ralphs raven I've spotted of late; there's one haunting our nearby Ralphs on Imperial Highway.
Our patio towhee was skittering along the top of the fence last night. It looked pretty weird trying to hop with its feet together on the top of a narrow wood fence. The local parrot flock has also been making itself heard, every evening.
