Of courase, I've only been up for a half-hour, having got my one night a week of sufficient sleep (and glad for it) and don't usually drop by until I have fed and pilled myself sufficient to type uninterrupted.

Julia, wishing we could shake those idjits at Proboards until our world fell out...

Emily wonders why we don't just start a new forum, on one of the servers that works.

I'm sure there are good and logical reasons why not, but right now, it sounds like a plan.

Of course, it might be that the Ccurse of Server 48 will just follow us there...

Emily has about an inch less hair; it's all clean and shiny (not that it generally isn't, but this is fresh), and she looks even more Pre-Raphaelite.

All my Recs- and, more importantly, All Nan's recs. My meta and others on the Episodes threads. Photos, links, this that and the otbher... could they be archived and recovered somehow?

Julia, freaking about the recs threads since Tuesday; a lot of what was linked there is from the dead hard drive and later the computer with the dead and irreplacable iMac.

Well, yes, that's what I told her. While S3 was accessible earlier, I discussed this with Shan - she did some research and it looks like Proboards is using server 48 as a guinea pig - we're the only server with the update in (except for the support board, or so they say).

Nothing's lost, it looks like, it just isn't... accessible right now.

Anne, freaking about the PC hanging itself this morning, because the last thing I need right now is another worry, and my tummy hurts a lot

My bad!! I was at the Dr's office for 3-1/2 hours, got home and literally fell asleep on the comfy chair.

You know that KT Tunstall song, "Miniature Disasters"... That was most of my day. Most, but not all.

That was some Dr visit, I hope everything turned out well.
