Before I get sidetracked again, my new hairsticks.

Wooden hairsticks, Japanese ojime beads, silverplated findings, freshwater pearls. Finished length 7½".



The octopus in use. They came out long enough to use singly, which does give me more options. Yes, that is the back of my head. No, I don't color my hair. The dark ends go red from the sun. I have calico cat hair.



Things I have learned: Pearl reamers are very, very sharp. Use pearl tweezers (the kind with little cups) to hold the bead for drilling, or you'll find this out the hard way. Also, nothing works as well as epoxy, so I should remember to use it in the first place instead of wasting time with craft glues that never quite hold.
