Emily has been watching crows all year. A while back, she observed two crows in the food court at her high school building a nest in a dark corner on some support beams. Yesterday, she saw the crowlings for the first time. She's going to try to take photos today, which may or may not come out.

Julia, if they come out, I'll share them.

Heckel and Jeckel lover, is she? I bet the pictures will be neat.

I hung a suet basket the other day in the hopes of attracting some songbirds. We lost a lot of our big trees in the past few years and the birds with them. :(

I'm more than a little jealous- the crows here are all 50-100 feet up in the oak and doug fir trees, and by the time I see the young they're pretty much entirely fledged.

I need to deal with the photo thing soon, myself, being reallu avoidy this week.
