I miss my S'cubies.

Well, I haven't heard back from Paradise Fibers about my order, but mysteriously the UPS tracking page now shows that the package was scanned on arrival in Salt Lake City, was delayed due to adverse weather, and has now departed.

Let's see, from Spokane WA to Hermiston OR to Salt Lake City (according to UPS) to Brea... That seems a rather roundabout route, especially for something that was supposed to be delivered in 3 days, like, tomorrow. I guess somebody shouldn'ta taken that left turn at Albukoykee.

Damn, I just realised that Kitty "forgot" to show me her homework assignments again. I'll have to grill her when she's finished. I am so tired of fighting this war that I'm about ready to surrender, except for the small detail that I'm the one who will suffer the most if she has to go to summer school or repeat a class she hates.

I've stayed on my diet for two-and-a-half days now, counting today. So far, so good, but if I get much more stressed... Oh well, there's always microwave popcorn.

I'm mostly freaking about seeing the doctor a week from today; I hate the idea of insulin, but more than that I hate trying to communicate with her, since she just doesn't seem quite bright.

Oh dear. Can you consult someone else, or are you stuck with this person?

Currently I'm trying not to yell at the TV, but it's difficult - Chris Matthews can't seem to understand that if the NH primary results didn't go the way he wanted, the fault was with his expectations, not with the NH voters, who lied because they're racists (?) or who lied to the exit pollsters, or who somehow managed to evilly make the election not come out the way he wanted *big eyeroll*. Or maybe it's Clinton's fault, she somehow hypnotised all those old (old meaning 50+) women who were supposed to vote for Obama. Election year fun and games...

It makes me sad, though, because Lim made it, and now she's got me killfiled because I said mean things about Metafandom and the SGA Newsletter (mostly that they foment wank by linking to personal rants as "meta").

Julia, opinions which I still hold, and practices which have actually been corrected somewhat.

Not surprising considering that "fan" comes from fanatic, and the Aged Parents have stories about how crazy some of their generation were.

And that's another pretty one. Drusilla certainly could look beautiful when she wanted.

That's one Cat (pretties_4_u, tabaqui's husband) made for the ship story. I'm going to try to get the story reread and edited for archiving, too, although that's also a sore subject.
