Happy Grump Day
Jul. 23rd, 2008 08:06 amThings have been going far too well this week. I'm waiting for the next shoe to drop on my head.
My horoscope for today says:
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). The minute you find yourself trying to manage someone else's problem, you're off purpose — a lonely place to be. Stick to fulfilling your own desires. It's not selfish, it's necessary.
I can get behind that, especially the last part. Easier said than done, though, I fear.
In honor of which, I put together a pair of knitting needle charm stitch holder thingies, like the pricey ones I saw at Joann's yesterday. I looked at the little plastic loops with dangly clover leaf charms on*, and realised that I had all the components at home - the figure-eight findings for eyeglass necklaces, two jumprings, a spider charm for one and a hedgehog for the other, and it's done. Just what I need so I can put down the scarf I'm knitting and not worry about dropping some of those 240 (!) stitches per row, and all done with supplies I already have.
ETA: And in line with the "fulfilling my own desires" theme of the day, I ordered a few things from Isabella, which (who?) kindly sent me a coupon code for an additional 10% off all their clearance items. Two of the three things I wanted were on clearance.
*Because they are made by the Clover Company. Cute, huh?
