anne_dWell, I thought it was, until the text of my post went away...
So, today's horoscope told me:
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You've paid tribute to "them" long enough. Time to pay homage to you. Tell stories about the plucky fun you had as a babe, or honor yourself with a gift including your favorite things.
So, I went shopping on eBay. Bad, bad me.
I found something I've beenlusting after questing for ever since I saw one at Crystal Cave, a carved boxwood tea scoop from China. And not just any tea scoop, one in the shape of a lotus leaf, embellished with a mermaid, a fish, and a shell. Even better, it was relatively affordable.
The same shop had a mermaid and octopus netsuke that called me by my true name, and a three-layer netsuke/ojime display stand, all very reasonably priced (although the airmail postage will be a bit of a bitca). So I bought all three. Now I just have to wait for the seller to get back to me with the total.
Well, there goes my frivol budget for the next two weeks, but wotthehell, I deserve it. The stars told me so.

I need to take Kitty shoe-shopping, but her idea of good shoes is athletics, and she's happy with Payless, so that isn't too hard. If she needs anything more formal, she can borrow a pair of my Chinese flats anyway.
