The result of yesterday's Mother-Daughter Arts & Crafts Day with the Younger Daughter:

The purple-winged fairy is mine, the blue is Katherine's.
It started with a Dead Fairies kit from Silvercrow, to which we added more stick-on rhinestones (many of which wound up on Kitty's fingernails), more Stickles glitter glues and flowers from my hoard.
This morning, I very carefully drilled through the plastic base on the backs of the butterfly wings using a small hand drill, threaded fine fishing line through the hole and tied a black seed bead on the end. Then I glopped Quick-grip on the bead to secure the whole mess and added a rhinestone star to cover the bead. Too much fun was had. Hee.
