Presenting The Queen of the Fairies and her Ladies in Waiting.

It started as three Mexican cabaret or puta dolls I got from Silvercrow Creations. The idea actually started with the first one, the one in purple, who came already silver-glittered. Then I got the other two, which were slightly smaller and not glittery, at least before I started, and things got interesting. Once I got going, it went really quickly. Mostly I was waiting for glue to dry.

Materials: Mexican papier-mâché mini puta dolls, feather butterflies purchased from Michael's, assorted glitter glue, gold Dresden paper trim and rhinestones for the queen's crown, Ultimate craft glue (which is really good stuff, by the way). Completed 20 Sept 2012.

I took the clips off the backs of the butterflies, patched the holes with glitter glue, glued the wings onto the backs of the dolls, then added some glitter glue to the smaller ones, and made a crown with Dresden paper trim and rhinestones for the purple one. The Queen is about six inches tall, standing, and her wings are about seven inches across at the widest point. So that's done, and now they're all three sitting, with a winged My Little Pony, on the top shelf of the little folding metal corner shelf unit that holds my tarot cards and other wooey stuff. (In the photo, they're sitting on top of the sewing machine cabinet. It was an easier shot.)
