Random Thoughts
Jun. 22nd, 2007 11:35 amSlightly less tired today, but I still get drowsy off every time I sit down, which is especially disconcerting when I'm sitting in the car at a red light. Oh well, that's why the Goddess gave us cars with air conditioning.
Last week when I came out of Michael's, there was a woman standing at the back of my car, staring fixedly. I wonder which of my five bumper stickers caught her attention? Let's see, clockwise starting from the upper left, they are:
Stewart Colbert 2008, Goddess Bless America, The Goddess is Alive and Magic is Afoot, Not All Who Wander Are Lost, and Every Mother is a Working Mother.
Not to mention the license-plate frame, which reads "Don't push your foot on the heartbrake".
This has been a lost week - I can't start anything creative, I can't stop eating, and I can't sleep when it's time to sleep. Any other time, however... On the other hand, I didn't actually kill anybody, though there were times when I was sorely tempted.
Well, the week's almost over, so I'll just do my best and try to start fresh on Monday. As someone once said, "Tomorrow is another day".
Have a nice weekend, dear readers.

Date: 2007-06-24 08:57 pm (UTC)RE: Tiredness. I was reading my Bottom Line subscription, and a woman had written in and her symptoms were a lot like yours. They eventually narrowed it down to food allergies, which helped somewhat, to something called "hemochromatosis" in which the body accumulates excess iron. They tested for levels of iron and ferritin - a protein that stores iron. Symptoms are fatigue, low labido and abdominal and joint pain. Looks like the treatment is bloodletting. How ironic. A pint of blood a weekly for 4 months, and cutting down on iron rich food.
Hope this might help you.

Date: 2007-06-24 10:09 pm (UTC)I was just reading a list of ways to reduce stress, all of which apparently assume that you either have servants between you and the real world, or that you live in a hollow tree far away from the real world. Not so helpful, I think.
