More results this morning.
One of them shows a "high" level of something called ALTs, which could be a bad thing indicating liver damage. Also my cholesterol is too high, which is actually no surprise because I have been nervous-junk-food-eating for the last week. That, I can fix, I hope.
So I sent another message to my doctor. Who got back to me pretty quickly. Don't worry, the high cholesterol is the good kind, the ALTs is probably normal variation, do another fasting test in a month, cut back on fatty foods, alcohol (I'm not much of a drinker), watch the tylenol. Funny, I don't normally take tylenol at all. She also says I should try tylenol PM when I can't sleep.
Anyway, it's all in normal ranges, so now what do I do? Meh. Perimenopause sucks, it's like puberty only backwards plus all the adult stresses. I'll bet if men got it, there'd be a cure already.
So Kitty and I walked to Supercuts, where she got four inches off her hair, then Cost Plus, Starbucks and the market. So that's my exercise walk for today. We're going out to dinner tonight, and I intend to have a Cosmopolitan and a nice dinner, so there.
I'll just have to cut back on the nervous snacking, which I should do anyway.
Also, I'm going to keep on avoiding my sister and other family points of stress when at all possible. I'm going to feel guilty no matter what, so I might as well reduce the stress. I'm a bad sister, and daughter, but I think I'm already over my limits, and this summer is looking like it may be worse. *makes rude noise*
