Hummingbird of Paradise

anne_dI got lucky on a walk to the market last Thursday.
I stopped to watch a hummingbird, and was still watching when it landed on a bird of paradise flower. Even better, I was able to get my little camera out of my purse, turned on, and got three shots before it took off again. So, here are the cropped images (I was standing on the sidewalk, and the flower was up next to the home's porch).
The Cat of the House, a cute tortie named Sunshine (not as cute as my tortie Shadow, of course), was also entranced. Fortunately she's an indoor kitty, and was watching from the front window.
