And it's done...

Here is the quilted totem banner from my online class.
Not a great photo, but the best I can do without proper lighting.

Lemme see... Stuff I used includes:
Batik fabrics, cotton quilt batting, embroidery flosses, various and sundry charms, beads and other neat stuff including a watch face (which says "Orion" on it), felt flower shapes, glass leaf beads and a stick from our apricot tree.
I used the beaded cabochon technique to attach the watch face, which was fun.
What else, what else? The tabs at the bottom have more totems:
A Mr Bolty (which I freehand embroidered using a photo of a lightning bolt as inspiration)
A hand, a flying piggy and a charm with "Anything is possible..." on
A white tiger
The middle panel has a small spider and web charm, a dragonfly and a butterfly.
The bottom panel has a pocket with some fortune cookie fortunes so when I need ideas, I can pull one out and hope for inspiration.
That's about all I can think of at the moment.
ETA: Further musings on process, see here.
