This morning I was reorganizing the wooey section of my wee studio. I found my very plain pendulum and played with it a bit, then thought, you know, I’d love to have a pretty pendulum too. One thing led to another, and after some searching through all my jewelry to find the right pendant, I put the whole thing together.

Materials: a pendant I bought at the Ren Faire many years ago. It’s rutilated* quartz set in sterling silver with a tiny Yin Yang symbol on the band. The rest of it: a scrap of sterling chain and other sterling findings and a rutilated quartz bead. The whole piece is about 5” long.

*Which means that the quartz has little threads of rutile in it. Wikipedia tells me that the mineral rutile is titanium dioxide. I used to know that and now you do too.
