Now that I've finished culling the craft supplies and gift-wrapping supplies in the cave, I've decided to turn my attention to the overflow craft supplies in my bedroom closet. Besides, half the crap* remaining in the cave is The Husband's, and the other half is up where I can't reach it safely even with a ladder, and furthermore, I'm tired of fighting with it all.

What a depressing prospect. All those kits, bought with such hope and enthusiasm, wasting away in a box for so many years, only to be unpacked and donated to some thrift shop or other. Did I really think I'd ever get around to assembling the antique-replica dolls with china heads and limbs and dressing them? How naive I was. How stupid. What a fulking waste of money.

Oh well. If I'm good, and get real on the closet, I'm going to buy that wrought-iron basket tree I have my eye on. It'll have to live in the closet for a while, but eventually**, when I get my studio reorganized, it can go there.

By the way, whoever is in charge of the weather? You can stop being hot now, please. I'm tired of it, and it's making me sick. No, really.

*As opposed to my (already carefully culled) boxes of fabric and sewing supplies, the boxes of Wilson and Hernhuter family heirlooms, such as they are, the boxes of Mordorian calendar research materials and photos, the box of spare picture frames, and so on and so forth. To say nothing of The Husband's bottlecap collection, Roman coin collection and baseball card collection. Also the office supplies and important documents, but those are just filing cabinet stuff. They don't count. Everybody has those. Perhaps not in such abundance, but still...

**When hell freezes over and pigs fly, most likely. Before the Democrats in Congress grow spines, very likely, but never mind that.
