Here's the painted fabric after it dried enough to handle (which was actually pretty quickly).

As you can see, the colors are a bit more blurred, and the Lutradur got more translucent as it dried. The silver paint is still quite visible, although not in the photo. I'm happy with the results.
I also got my jacaranda pod design photographed and turned into enough of a high-contrast image to trace it onto tissue paper. Tomorrow maybe, or Thursday, I'll start the embroidery.
Actually, tomorrow is one of Katherine's no-class days. She may go to college for a while, just so she can have lunch at Monkey Business, but she'll be home earlier. So I'll probably run errands tomorrow and work on the embroidery on Thursday when I have most of the day alone.
