I present the results thus far of the Transformative Doll Class.

This one felt more personal, and also lately The Husband has been more snarky about my crafts, or perhaps I'm just more sensitive to mockery. Hence the F&T.

A collage paper doll (approx 12" tall)

Two twig dolls, one representing my Wild Self (approx 10" tall) and the other.. well, I think it's a harbinger of Spring. It rained a lot that week. Twigs from the backyard (pomegranate, I think), batik fabric, French wired ribbon, assorted fibres, poly-clay face glued onto a wood disk painted gold (larger), Artgirlz charm face glued onto butterfly applique (smaller), assorted pewter charms. Wild Self's crown says "Be Bold".

A cloth icon doll, Sleeping Goddess, because I really, really could use a good night's sleep. Celestial print cotton, face embroidered on muslin and appliqued, hair is assorted shiny and otherwise interesting fibres. She is stuffed with the wool roving I use for pincushions (because poly fiberfill seemed too cold and impersonal), with a small amethyst heart and some dried lavender tucked inside (both of which are supposed to help with insomnia and encourage sleep).

Her bed is batik with an Extravorganza overlay printed with a photo of the Earth from space and cotton quilt batting inside - it's about 7½x10".

I love the collage doll with its wonderful motto! And the Wild Self is fabulous.

The latter is very much Nu'ut, Egyptian goddess of the night sky and protector ov women in childbirth.

Julia, my favorite, ahead even of Horus
