Joy in the Garden
I (finally!) finished another healing spirit doll.
This doll is about 7" tall (I like working with smaller dolls). She has a tumbled quartz crystal as her power stone (the central drop on her necklace), because my mom has so many physical challenges and problems I didn't know where to begin. My mom loves to garden, but she can't get out there and work as hard as she used to, so I made a helper for her.
Garden Joy carries her garden with her, and she has lots of garden helpers - a hummingbird, a spider, bees, butterflies and a cat. Her face is polymer clay mounted in a silk daisy; I bought it from an online artist. Her wings are velvet leaves with little dots of glittery stuff (which didn't photograph very well, but they sparkle like dewdrops) and a vintage butterfly pin.

Odd. This was my sick day, so I'm in my jammies, but I've been busier than I was all last week - five loads of laundry and I finished a project, all but the cleanup. Lunchtime already?
Edit: It having been pointed out to me that Joy's garden lacks ladybugs (by the husband, who laughed at the project). So, in the interests of proper garden maintenance, I added three red seed beads, because my ladybug beads are all too large and too dark a red. I think that'll do it.
