Second generation F&SF fan (my parents met at a LASFS meeting), married to another fan (met him at a Mythopoeic Society meeting), mother of daughters, owned by cats. Atheist/feminist/liberal. She/her. Trans women are women and trans men are men.

Book interests: Jane Austen, Anthony Trollope, and other 19C authors, mysteries (in particular, but not confined to, Dorothy L Sayers, Sue Grafton and Dana Stabenow), fantasy (in particular, Robin McKinley and Seanan McGuire), and Regency romances, the art and writings of Laurel Burch, Nick Bantock and Judith Baker Montaño, antique (ie, 19th to early 20th century) needlework books and patterns. I try to make things using the instructions, which can get interesting because the names of crochet stitches, for example, have changed in the last century or so. It's a thing.

TV interests including but not confined to: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Crossing Jordan, Due South, Life, Chuck, Fringe, Warehouse 13, Doctor Who, Leverage, Primeval, Castle, MSNBC (especially Rachel Maddow and Chris Hayes), The New Red Green Show, and, to my shame, Antiques Roadshow.

Music interests: Celtic and British folk music, the music of Kate Bush, Bree Sharp, KT Tunstall, Regina Spektor, and Eliza Carthy and her dad Martin and the Watersons en masse.
