The USGS page is overwhelmed, but, to sum it up, 8:21 PM tonight, 6.9 magnitude quake, Searles Valley. Technically it's an aftershock of the one yesterday, but it felt bigger even here, and indeed it was.
Shadow slept through the whole thing, but the humans are pretty freaked.
It's been upgraded again, back to the original magnitude of 7.1. So the one yesterday is now considered a foreshock. And it was about 10 miles further north in the same area. This one was felt in Las Vegas.
