The conjoined journal box is done. It started as Alma de la Melana Cox's Yin Yang Box class. But there was a lot of preparation about yin and yang and chakras, and I just couldn't wrap my head around it. So I kind of did my own thing. The day and night/dawn and dusk concept really started with the paper for the night journal - I found it and fell in love. ( Many photos follow )

I completed a quick little project today. My Aged Mum collected half-dolls and other vintage figurals; I brought a small collection home with me. This vintage head vase used to sit on her dresser with hairsticks in it. I turned it into a pincushion. ( Photos following )

This is the result of Lyn Belisle's Spread the Word online workshop, which she's offering for free through July 4. I found it fun and relaxing, and I'll probably do another one some time. ( Click for photo )

I had this idea for a decoration for my little wee studio. Originally it was going to be "CREATE" in wooden building blocks, and then I found a whole tub of them at the Goodwill for cheap so I embellished a bit. "TIME TO CREATE" was inspired by the Moomintrolls; Moominpapa has dragged everyone off to a lighthouse so he can write the Great Novel. Next morning, Moominmama wakes him up early. Anyway, I think it's funny*. ( Photos and all that )

I did a batch of cards to commemorate the annual Ritual Sacrifice With Pie, aka Thanksgiving. ( Photos follow )

I modified my pocket-sized* Oberon Design leather notebook cover to work as a Midori-type traveller's notebook (or TN for short) and hold multiple inserts. Aka a sort of Fauxdori. ( Photos below the cut. )
